Municipal Taxes
The Municipal Revenue Office makes available to citizens and taxpayers the collection statistics for the most important municipal fees, presented with comparative data for previous periods and/or years. The information is updated automatically every month, drawn from the municipal systems.
The Sanitation Services Fee is a mandatory monetary charge that property owners or those responsible for properties must pay to the Municipality for the availability and provision of essential sanitation services.
Its purpose is to fund the following municipal services:
- Drinking Water: supply of water fit for consumption, intended especially to meet basic human needs for drinking and hygiene.
- Sewerage: collection and treatment of sanitary wastewater.
- Storm Drainage: management and maintenance of the rainwater drainage system.
Key points about how it is charged:
- Mandatory based on availability: payment is mandatory for all properties, built or unbuilt, that have the services available within the area covered by the works, whether or not they use them.
