4th-year students of the Primary Education Teacher Training Program at the “Domingo Faustino Sarmiento” Normal Superior School of Concordia, Juana Móndolo and Mara Carrera, approached the Municipality to request information and support for their research project on Environmental Education and the challenges of its implementation in schools.
They were received by the Cooperativism and Associativism Team, led by its director Ariel Gorostegui, along with the head of the Social Economy Department, Miguel Parra, and agronomists Gabriel Zubizarreta and Marcos Ferrari, who provided information based on territorial agroecological educational experience and shared didactic material for the development of the academic work.
As part of the support, they will be offered a theoretical-practical class that will allow them to strengthen the acquired knowledge, integrating theory and practice with a territorial approach. This proposal seeks to build values and learning related to the production of healthy food and environmental care through education, promoting the articulation between the educational system, the State, and professionals in the sector.
“These types of meetings fill us with hope because they show that there are young people committed to the present and the environmental future. Our team is always willing to provide support with tools and concrete experiences,” highlighted Ariel Gorostegui.
For his part, Miguel Parra stressed: “From the social economy, we promote an integral vision of production and consumption. It is essential that future teachers can incorporate these perspectives to multiply them in the classrooms.”
The municipality continues to work to strengthen ties with educational institutions and promote projects that foster environmental awareness from a pedagogical and transformative perspective.
