The Municipality of Concordia, through the Bromatology Directorate, seeks to protect the population's health from potential foodborne illnesses.
Therefore, some useful tips are provided to the community for these end-of-year holidays:
During days with high temperatures, perishable foods should not remain outside the refrigerator for more than one hour.
Do not buy prepared foods that are displayed at room temperature.
Do not mix raw foods with cooked ones.
Do not thaw foods at room temperature; do so by moving the food from the freezer to the refrigerator.
Do not prepare food too far in advance.
Keep foods based on cream or mayonnaise refrigerated, especially. Prefer commercial mayonnaise over homemade.
Keep foods that are consumed cold in the refrigerator until the moment they are served, especially those that do not require prior heating before being consumed, such as salads, matambres, or meat rolls. Once served, refrigerate again. Avoid leaving them at room temperature for more than one hour, especially on very hot days.
If you transport food from one location to another, ensure they are well refrigerated (use, for example, cooler boxes or other thermal containers).
