The Municipality of Concordia, through a joint effort between different areas of the Secretariat of Public Services, began this Wednesday an integral operation in the Llamarada and Las Viñas neighborhoods.
Cleaning, weeding, eradication of micro-landfills, waste and branch collection, maintenance of green spaces, and improvements to public lighting are being carried out, among other actions.
The mayor Francisco Azcué, together with the Secretary of Public Services Oscar Ramírez, toured different sectors, where he spoke with the residents, emphasizing the importance of everyone collaborating to maintain public spaces: “if everyone does their part, we all benefit. The Municipality providing the services, responding to requests, and the resident committing to, for example, taking out the waste on time and not throwing it just anywhere.”
“We carry out these works with our own personnel and equipment, but also with municipal resources, which is why we ask everyone to take care of the space where we live,” remarked Azcué.
For his part, Ramírez indicated that the work will continue through Thursday and Friday if necessary, with the intervention of the Undersecretariats of Public Services and Environment; the areas of Urban Hygiene, Electrotechnics, and Waste Collection, among others. “The collaboration of the community is fundamental to keep spaces clean and in good condition,” he stated.
