The Municipality of Concordia invites the community to participate in the commemorative activities for the 194th Anniversary of the city's founding, which will be celebrated this Saturday, November 29, at the “General Urquiza” Central Train Station, located at 125 Robinson Ave.
This year, the commemoration takes on a special character, as it is part of the enhancement process of the historic Central Station building, an emblematic space of the identity of Concordia and a witness to the social, cultural, and productive development of the city.
The work carried out, in coordination with various municipal areas, includes structural improvements, lighting, refurbishment of the surroundings, and heritage preservation actions that will allow for the recovery of this site's relevance and its full reintegration into community life.
The Undersecretary of Education and Culture, Prof. Carlos Gatto, highlighted that “the enhancement of the Central Station is a gesture of deep respect for our history. We are recovering a space that is part of the collective memory of Concordia, so that it may once again be a meeting point for culture and community integration. Celebrating the city's anniversary here has an enormous symbolic meaning: we honor our past and open the doors to the future we want to build together.”
