With the participation of more than 20 areas, the Municipality of Concordia carried out a comprehensive territorial approach through the strategic operational decentralization program with the objective that residents can access public health, educational, sports, productive, and social services.
The activities were developed at the Víctor Oppel Sports Center, where families from the Sarmiento, Asentamiento Arrocera, San Miguel II, and La Colina neighborhoods were able to complete vaccination schedules; perform basic clinical check-ups; receive pediatric care; participate in informative talks; receive advice for carrying out procedures related to disability; update SUBE card benefits, or take their pets for neutering and vaccinations, among other actions.
Mayor Francisco Azcué highlighted that “beyond the activities we do every day with the different areas, we carry out these types of comprehensive approaches so that residents can access different programs, make inquiries, or clear up doubts. That we are here, with all the Secretariats, Undersecretariats, and Directorates, allows for direct interaction between the Municipality and the people of Concordia”.
In that line, Azcué remarked that in addition to the works plan that has been executed in different sectors of the city, “we go down to the field with these sessions that function as a thermometer for the compilation of different data that serve us to attend to and improve the services that the Municipality provides because for us people are not a number, they are residents, they are life stories, and from this contact, the bond continues”.
ATTENTIONS
During the day, through the Health Secretariat, 93 pediatric patients and 60 adult patients were attended to, who underwent health check-ups and were provided with medication in cases where it was required.
In addition, 125 vaccines were administered, which allowed for the completion of the vaccination schedule; informative talks were held on problematic consumption, led by Social Strengthening, as well as advice from the Disability department.
The Traffic and Transport Directorate attended to around a hundred residents who came to carry out procedures for the update and extension of SUBE card benefits.
For its part, the Veterinary Directorate performed 31 neutering procedures and administered 115 anti-rabies vaccines.
The Strategic Program for Operational Decentralization and Comprehensive Territorial Approach, which is carried out within the framework of the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial, guarantees the presence of the Municipal State through field work in those areas that are far from the downtown area or do not have direct access to the public policies that the Municipality carries out, thus guaranteeing social equity and a direct bond.
