The Municipality of Concordia, through the Department of Senior Citizen Policies, will carry out two proposals this week aimed at promoting the well-being, active participation, and comprehensive care of older adults.
On one hand, the “Jar and Box Decoupage” workshop will be held, led by instructor Gloria Ruiz. The activity will take place on Thursday, March 5, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, in the Training Hall of the Municipal Civic Center (1st floor, Mitre and Pellegrini). It is a creative space that invites participants to develop manual skills and foster artistic expression.
Likewise, on Thursday, March 5, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, the training session “CPR and Choking in Older Adults” will be given by the Red Cross team at the “Plaza Sol” Retirees and Pensioners Center (Entre Ríos 1177). This training session will provide fundamental tools to act in emergency situations, strengthening prevention and community care.
The Head of the Department of Senior Citizen Policies, Gladys Portugal, highlighted the importance of these initiatives: “Our goal is to create spaces that promote both personal development and the safety and care of our older adults. These workshops not only provide practical knowledge and tools, but also strengthen bonds and active participation in the community.”
Furthermore, she added that “the municipal administration works consistently to guarantee inclusive and accessible proposals, understanding that learning and recreation have no age.”
Both activities are free and are part of the permanent agenda promoted by the Municipality to support and strengthen the city's older adults.
