Within the framework of the policies for the care and preservation of public spaces promoted by the Municipality of Concordia, sanitation and waste removal work was carried out at the mouth of the Manzores Stream.
The tasks were carried out by personnel from the Costanera Management Entity and are part of the maintenance work carried out throughout the year, with the objective of keeping the stream in good condition and avoiding obstructions in a sector prior to the dam.
During the day, a significant amount of waste was removed, mainly non-degradable plastics, which had accumulated in the riverbed and on its banks.
The Entity pointed out that, throughout the entire course of the stream through the city, waste is permanently dumped, a practice that causes environmental damage and affects a natural environment used for recreational and tourist activities.
For this reason, the community is requested to collaborate in the care of the stream, avoiding throwing trash and contributing to the maintenance of a space that belongs to everyone.
