This Thursday, the opening of bids for the tender for the repaving of Dr. Sauré Street, between La Pampa and Yuquerí, and the paving of the sector comprised by Paula Albarracín de Sarmiento and La Pampa streets, took place.
This is a project that is part of the Infrastructure Plan carried out by the Municipality of Concordia, with its own resources and an investment of around one million dollars. The official budget for this tender exceeds 471 million pesos.
Mayor Francisco Azcué stated that in this way, the initial objective of the Infrastructure Plan, which included works on Paula Albarracín de Sarmiento and Juventud Unida streets in Benito Legerén, is being achieved. In this case, “it is an artery that had been requested by the community since it is in terrible condition, after many years of neglect.”
“This is possible thanks to the commitment of the taxpayers who, by fulfilling their fiscal obligations, allow us to channel those resources into the city. We are currently investing around one million dollars and we have already budgeted for 2026 with works, which will also be executed with our own funds,” remarked Azcué.
Undersecretary of Public Works, Mateo Sastre, detailed that this intervention on Sauré Street “will start from Boulevard Yuquerí to Paula Albarracín with patching, and in some sections, it will be directly repaved because the deterioration of the asphalt is severe,” and furthermore, “new asphalt with curb and gutter will be laid from Paula Albarracín to La Pampa, improving sanitary infrastructure, renewing residential water and sewer connections, with the replacement of some valves on the main pipeline that crosses Sauré.”
WORK CHARACTERISTICS
It is planned to carry out the complete reconstruction of the structural package of the first mentioned section, including milling of the existing asphalt layer, compaction, soil-cement base, finishing with a hot-mix asphalt layer. The second section includes paving with an asphalt layer with a soil-cement base.
In addition, the construction and reconstruction of gutters and sections of curb and gutter will be carried out to improve the free flow of surface water, as well as patching some areas with concrete and asphalt.
Only one bid was submitted for the call, corresponding to the company Vecchio SRL.
