During this morning, at the Purchasing and Supplies Directorate of the Municipality of Concordia, the opening of bids for the construction and installation of 30 urban shelters (bus stops) at different points in the city was carried out.
The new shelters will be built entirely of sheets of different thicknesses (flat, folded, and perforated) and structural pipes. Each shelter will have lighting from two LED ceiling lights, powered by a solar panel located on the roof under anti-vandal protection. They will also feature information via QR, where the passenger will obtain data on their location and bus line routes.
The budget for the work is 90 million pesos and it is being carried out within the framework of the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial, with own resources.
The Undersecretary of Public Works, Mateo Sastre, stressed that the demand for shelters for urban passenger transport is high, so this tender comes to provide answers to what was requested by the residents, noting that what was aimed at “is a modern, comfortable, and safe design for users,” adding that the installation points are planned for the downtown area and different neighborhoods of the city.
Three bids were submitted to the call for tenders, with one of them being declared inadmissible due to missing documentation. The remaining two correspond to the companies Cocco Construcciones SRL and Carlos Diego Haure.
