The Decentralized Sanitary Works Entity (EDOS) informs that in the continuity of the planned construction works of the New Water Plant and the city's Ring Main, this weekend interconnection works will be carried out between the existing drinking water storage cistern and the cistern of the future Water Treatment Plant.
The works will begin at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 20, with the emptying of the cistern currently in use. To carry out these necessary tasks, the supply pumps will be stopped, which will reduce the supply flow by approximately 40% during the work.
From the early hours of Friday night and throughout Saturday, August 21, and Sunday, August 22, while the scheduled works are being carried out, the normal supply of drinking water in the city will be affected, with the filling of the cistern estimated to begin at 5:00 PM on Sunday, and the service normalizing starting Monday, August 23.
For this reason, users are advised to take the corresponding precautions, given the need to carry out these necessary works to substantially improve the drinking water service in the city, in the final stage of construction of the New Water Plant.
