The 'Aportes al Territorio' workshop was held at the Concordia Convention Center, a space that brought together mayors, municipal tourism officials, legislators, representatives of public agencies, associations, and private sector stakeholders to share strategic information aimed at the tourism, productive, and logistical development of the Salto Grande region.
The activity took place within the framework of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) mission and marked the conclusion of the Development and Integration Program of the Salto Grande Region, executed by the Provincial Executing Unit (UEP). During the day, technical studies prepared for the Concordia, Federación, and Colón departments were presented, aimed at strengthening public and private planning through updated information and territorial analysis tools.
At the opening, the Secretary General of the Government, Mauricio Colello, highlighted the importance of the studies presented to project the future of the region. "These are fundamental tools for planning with information, data, and a strategic perspective. We have enormous strengths, and the challenge is to transform that potential into more investment, more employment, and more opportunities for the people of Entre Ríos. That is the goal set for us by Governor Rogelio Frigerio," he stated.
Likewise, Colello remarked on the value of joint work between the State and the private sector to boost regional growth. "When public management stops creating obstacles and becomes an ally of development, concrete results begin to appear," he maintained.
For his part, Mayor Francisco Azcué pointed out that the city is undergoing a process of recovery and strengthening of its capacities to attract investment. "Today we see concrete progress in terms of connectivity, tourism, and infrastructure, and these studies represent one more step in that direction. Having rigorous technical information allows us to plan better and generate more employment opportunities for the residents of Concordia," he expressed.
One of the central themes of the day was linked to thermal tourism. In that context, studies were presented aimed at improving the marketing and communication of thermal complexes, incorporating sustainability criteria, and advancing certification proposals that contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of this distinctive tourism product of the province.
Another block was dedicated to logistics and regional connectivity. There, the results of the Technical, Environmental, Regulatory, and Economic Feasibility Study for a Logistics Activities Zone, Industrial Park, and River Port were presented, along with strategic work on territorial connectivity, transport optimization, and the linking of tourist attractions in the Salto Grande region.
In that context, the General Coordinator of the UEP, Gustavo Cusinato, highlighted that coordination with local governments was key to identifying the needs and potential of each territory, while the President of Emturer, Jorge Satto, highlighted the importance of continuing to consolidate the leadership of Entre Ríos in terms of thermal tourism. For his part, the IDB Program Project Manager, Ignacio Estévez, valued the strategic information generated during the program and noted that it will constitute a fundamental tool to promote future projects linked to tourism, logistics, and territorial integration in the region.
