Once the replacement tasks for a submersible pump that was out of service due to malfunctions at the Water Treatment Plant have been completed, the drinking water service in the city is beginning to normalize.
On Thursday morning, divers from the Entre Ríos Police carried out the work of positioning it at the bottom of the chamber, which is why the other pumps had to be stopped, causing a drop in redistribution pressure. Once the replacement work was finished, the intake pumps were turned back on, and the service is beginning to normalize progressively.
The head of the Water Treatment Plant of the Decentralized Entity of Sanitary Works, Eng. Ricardo Rosales, said that “the complete improvement will likely be seen tomorrow because the entire network had low pressure and this process takes approximately 24 hours to complete to achieve optimization, and we hope you understand the inconveniences that may be caused”.
Taking advantage of the presence of the divers, a pump, also submersible, was also replaced, which will remain as a reserve for eventual rotations of intake pumps, to improve the drinking water supply service to the city of Concordia, specified EDOS.
