As part of the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial, this morning, with the presence of Mayor Francisco Azcué, the opening of bids for the public tender for the repaving and patching of Tavella Street, between San Lorenzo Avenue and Gregoria Pérez Street, was held.
The work will be executed with own funds and has an official budget of around 500 million pesos.
The complete reconstruction of the structural package is planned for part of the section to be intervened. The work includes milling the existing asphalt layer; demolition of repairs made with concrete and the existing speed bump, and the execution of a soil-cement base to finish with a hot-mix asphalt layer.
In addition, patching with hot-mix asphalt with the total reconstruction of the structural package is contemplated, and the renewal and expansion of water and sewage networks, household connections, and the installation of valves and a hydrant are planned.
In this regard, the Secretary of Public Works, Fernando Esquibel, stated that “the work will be carried out in two stages, on one hand the patching and on the other, the repaving. For the administration, it is very important to be able to carry out this work because it is a fundamental artery with significant traffic, as it connects several key points of the city”.
Three bids were submitted for the tender call, corresponding to the firms José Eleuterio Pitón S.A.; Piuterra S.A. and Vecchio S.R.L.
