The Municipality of Concordia, through the Directorate of Bromatology, and with the aim of preserving the health of the population from possible foodborne diseases, recommends taking into account the following advice to avoid possible foodborne illnesses due to high temperatures.
Exercise extreme care with foods considered high-risk, such as sauces, creams, empanada fillings, sandwiches, etc.; these must be kept in the refrigerator at 4°C from the time of preparation until the moment of consumption.
Do not prepare homemade mayonnaise, due to the risk of contamination by pathogenic bacteria. The use of commercial (pasteurized) mayonnaise is recommended.
Do not prepare meals too far in advance.
Ensure that prepared foods do not remain at room temperature for more than one hour.
Reheat meals, ensuring they reach at least 70°C in their center.
Do not thaw food at room temperature. Thaw inside the refrigerator or using the microwave (in the latter case, proceed to cook immediately).
