In the coming days, a shipment of citrus produced by the company Trevisur S.A. will depart for Ecuador. The cold treatment, a key requirement for export, was carried out by Grosrumer S.R.L.
The export is being carried out following compliance with all sanitary and production care regulations, through joint work between companies, state agencies, and intermediary institutions that allow for the strengthening of the productive system of Concordia and the region, in addition to generating and sustaining genuine jobs.
Mayor Francisco Azcué stated that “we are providing support from our position as the State, based on this new direction that the country and the province have taken, of being facilitators, creating a favorable ecosystem for investment and development of the private sector, which are the ones who take risks, bet, and are the engine of growth”.
“This is an example of the production chain where several actors intervene, allowing us to reach Ecuador with an export. This is how things should work, and it is a sign that we understand the path we must follow,” remarked Azcué.
Grosrumer SRL belongs to businessman Alberto Grosso and has a long history in the area, having managed to expand its plant in recent years, which allows it to provide employment to 20 people and open new possibilities in the domestic and foreign markets. They are currently authorized, as a treatment center, to export to Peru and Chile, with the possibility of reaching new countries.
Regarding the work carried out to make this export possible, Agronomist Engineer Sebastián Grosso, technical director of the company, explained that a total of 21 pallets of citrus that received cold treatment will be dispatched, “with a very satisfactory result, so we hope this is the beginning of many more treatments and the opening of several markets, which would mean a very important help for the sector”.
For her part, Adela Raimondo, vice president of Trevisur SA, a company dedicated to the commercialization of high-quality fruits, with presence and distribution in the main markets of the country and the region, said she felt “proud of what has been achieved. This creates an enormous commitment for us but also many expectations, hoping for the best”.
Vice Mayor Magdalena Reta de Urquiza indicated that it is satisfying “to see how family businesses invest and expand their production capacity so that the fruit sector progresses and, as in this case, a path of export is initiated, which is welcome for everyone”.
Accompanying them were the Secretary of Productive Development Federico Schattenhofer; the Regional Director of Entre Ríos for SENASA Néstor Micheloud; Gerardo Blanco and Roberto Varela on behalf of the Chamber of Citrus Exporters of Northeast Argentina (CECNEA); and the president of the Federación del Citrus de Entre Ríos (FeCiER) Melania Zorzi, among others.
