The second edition of the Provincial Book Fair will be held from October 9 to 11, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., at the Concordia Convention Center. There will be stands with more than 100 publishers and the participation of Alejandra Kamiya, Juan Sasturain, Miguel Rep, and Selva Almada. Admission will be free. Organized by the Government of Entre Ríos and the Municipality of Concordia.
The presentation took place at the Concordia House of Culture. There, the Minister of Government and Labor, Manuel Troncoso, highlighted: "We are proud of our identity and have much to show: our landscapes, customs, authors, and our culture of encounter." He then emphasized that "culture is not only an intangible asset; it also generates industry, jobs, and added value." He also remarked that this second edition "represents Governor Rogelio Frigerio's decision to provide continuity to an initiative that we want to transcend and transform into a true State policy."
The mayor of Concordia, Francisco Azcué, added: "It is an honor to once again host this book fair. It is a high-level event, and for that reason, we invite the entire community to participate." He then valued "the joint work between the Provincial Government and the Municipality of Concordia, which allows, among other public policies, the development of these activities."
During the presentation, provincial deputy Marcelo López delivered the declaration of Interest from the Chamber of Deputies of Entre Ríos to the event organizers.
A SHARED CULTURE
The Secretary of Culture of Entre Ríos, Julián Stoppello, thanked "the support of the provincial government, the Municipality of Concordia, and Salto Grande, which make this shared culture event possible, promoting reading and the development of the publishing industry and our authors."
Finally, the Secretary of Human Development of Concordia, Carlos Gatto, indicated: "This meeting allows us to bring reading, culture, and knowledge closer to the entire community." He also valued the joint work with the Secretariat of Culture of Entre Ríos.
