The 2019 edition, which will be the thirty-second presentation of the San Antonio de Padua Awards, is already in its final days of decision-making to determine which athletes will be on the stage of the Concordia Convention Center on Friday, December 20, receiving the longest-running sports award in the Province of Entre Ríos.-
According to the schedule set for this year, the upcoming Monday the 9th will mark the closing of the reception of nominees for the Specialty and Merit Awards, which are designated by sports institutions, and on the same day, starting at 8:45 PM at the offices of the Sports Directorate, the nomination meeting for Sports Journalism will be held, to which they are hereby invited.-
Several institutions have been submitting data digitally, which is the system that, by instruction of the Mayor Dr. Enrique Cresto, has been implemented starting with this edition, and in the coming hours they will be validating the nominations so that the list of awarded athletes can gradually be completed, which will be viewable on the Concordia Municipality website.-
For these days, the final nomination meetings are scheduled, and contact is also being made with those institutions of the disciplines that have not yet been informed of the new nomination system.-
As has been reported in the various meetings held by the Organizing Committee with the representatives of the institutions in charge of the nominations, the data reception system will close this coming Monday the 9th at 8:00 PM, so those nominations that have not been uploaded and validated will not be able to be processed; therefore, it is very important to comply with the deadlines that have already been duly informed.-
Once the closing of the nominations provided for by Ordinance 24.454 for sports institutions has occurred, the designation of the third category of the award in each sports discipline takes place, which is the one nominated by Sports Journalism. This is scheduled to take place in a meeting to be held this coming Monday the 9th, to which all those who perform this function in the different media outlets are invited, remembering that the athletes whom specialized journalists can nominate have no age or amateurism limits, only having to meet the requirement of having represented a city institution in three competitions, even without being a native of Concordia, with the main foundation being that the nominated athlete demonstrates, in addition to their sports achievements, a human profile that can, due to their qualities, be presented to our youth and to society as a whole.
