The Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial continues to execute works in different sectors of the city. Parallel to the asphalt and concrete works, articulated pavement began on Misiones street, between San Lorenzo boulevard and Coldaroli. The investment is 196 million pesos and is carried out with the Municipality of Concordia's own funds.
Mayor Francisco Azcué toured the work and recalled that “this street had been promised countless times. Well, we did not promise it, but we are building it”.
“We will not stop maintaining that this is possible thanks to the commitment of the residents who comply with their tax obligations and the orderly management of resources. The Infrastructure Plan has these components as its main characteristics and we will continue working in this way”, emphasized Azcué.
Continuing along those lines, the mayor pointed out that paving works will continue “on the streets where this system can be implemented. We will also work on it through the Mi Cuadra PROGR.E.S.S.A. program, where residents reach an agreement, provide the materials, and the Municipality provides the labor, machinery, and technical advice”.
Fernando Esquibel, Secretary of Public Works, highlighted the traffic flow that Misiones street has, as it connects two important road corridors such as Coldaroli street and San Lorenzo boulevard. Without a doubt, this changes the living conditions of the residents, provides greater traffic safety, and becomes another paving alternative that is added to the other works that we have been developing in different neighborhoods of Concordia”.
