The Concordia Robotics Club, carried out by the Municipality of Concordia through the Directorate of Innovation and Knowledge Economy, closed a new year, having during this 2025 the participation of more than 400 children between 8 and 14 years old, who were part of the 19 cohorts in the different levels of training: initial, intermediate, advanced and a competition group, which represented the city in tournaments and activities together with other institutions.
The children developed skills related to computational logical thinking and educational robotics; and others expanded their knowledge by completing challenges adapted to each level. The classes were held throughout the year, in a face-to-face workshop format, at two locations: Coworking La Estación and Casa del Bicentenario in the Víctor Oppel neighborhood.
Mayor Francisco Azcué pointed out that “education is the most powerful tool we have to transform, which is why we invest so that activities like these continue to grow and reach more families and children in Concordia. From 2024 to the present, the number of participants has doubled and we want to continue growing. We thank the families for being part of it and supporting their children”.
“We want to bring tools and opportunities to the residents because the goal is to reach one thousand jobs in the knowledge economy and these children who are finishing today are laying the foundation for a future that is not very far away,” remarked Azcué.
For his part, the Director of Innovation and Knowledge Economy, Pedro Kohn, highlighted: “The great goal we have is that when you finish high school and choose a university degree, work or create a venture, the city is full of opportunities. Now you know what robotics is, what programming is, what mathematical logic is, what it is to program, that is to say, you know a lot of things that will allow you to have a broader spectrum of what you will choose when you have to decide”.
Andrea Solari, Head of the Robotics Department, stated that “the club is growing thanks to the support of you, the families. This year we had very good results, actively participating in various events of regional, national and international relevance, consolidating itself as a benchmark in the field of educational robotics and we will continue to grow”.
