On repeated occasions, the thermal protector of the water pump in Barrio San Miguel II has been activated, and recently EDOS even had to invest in its replacement due to malfunctions caused by the low voltages recorded.
In a joint effort between EDOS and the Cooperativa Eléctrica, it was detected that the undervoltage issues affecting the normal operation of the water pump are due to the increase in residential connections to the electrical grid in this sector of the city, many of which are possibly irregular connections.
For this reason, EDOS has intensified controls on the operation of the water pump equipment to minimize the chances of it going out of service, while the Cooperativa Eléctrica is planning the extension of the grid to move forward with the regularization of connections and normalize the supply voltage so that the operation of the pump is not affected.
