On January 25th, the "Atanasio Bonfiglio" Corsódromo will once again be the protagonist of a new edition of the Concordia city Carnival; the various carnival groups have shared how they are preparing to experience the most anticipated festival.
The carnival groups from the city of Concordia are preparing with "pure rhythm" for a new edition of the 2020 carnivals, which will begin on Saturday, January 25th, and will take place over six nights. The carnival groups Ráfaga, Bella Samba, Imperio, and the current champion of the local festival, Emperatriz, will be present at the "Atanasio Bonfiglio" Corsódromo.
Ráfaga Carnival Group
Looking ahead to what is coming, the tricolor group reported on its official social media channels that they are already working in the warehouses on the construction of their floats and in the workshop on the preparation of the members' costumes.
Likewise, the Ráfaga carnival group held its first general rehearsal this Saturday at the traditional "La Bianca" neighborhood court with Guillermina Paiva as the group's coach, and these are scheduled for every Saturday at 7:00 PM. On the other hand, the "Nota Mil" drum section holds its rehearsals on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 9:00 PM, seeking to protect their 2019 champion title.
Imperio Carnival Group
Regarding the Imperio carnival group, although the official rehearsals for the group's dancers have not yet begun, the Nota 10 drum section has been rehearsing for several months on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 9:00 PM at Lieberman and Gobernador Cresto.
Bella Samba Carnival Group
The multicolored group, runner-up of the Concordia carnival, has begun its rehearsals, and they will take place every Wednesday at 9:00 PM at the Club Alumni under the direction of coach Claudia Fernández, who has been working in this role for some years. Also, the "Eterna guerrera" drum section carries out its rehearsals on Tuesdays and Saturdays of each week at the Concordia Corsódromo.
Comparsa Emperatriz
For its part, the Emperatriz Social, Cultural and Sports Association, the current champion of the Concordia carnival, began its rehearsals a few weeks ago at the Escuela Yoya gymnasium, while the TNT drum section is rotating its rehearsals between the Concordia Corsódromo and the school institution.
On the other hand, the traditional sale of a contribution bond is being carried out to collaborate with the assembly of the members' costumes; by purchasing this bond, one will also be able to attend the Grand Presentation Party of the competing figures.
It should be noted that the four carnival groups show all their activity on their official social media channels, including presentations they make at parties and fundraising events, confirming once again that in Concordia, carnival is experienced all year round.
