Within the framework of the agenda of activities promoted for International Women's Day, the Municipality of Concordia, through the Undersecretariat of Education and Culture, invites the community to participate in the lecture “Women: their footprints on the road to the Bicentennial”, which will take place next Friday, March 13, at 6:00 PM in the Assembly Hall of the Municipality.
The proposal will be led by Professor Rosa María “Mauci” Reissenweber, who will provide a historical perspective aimed at recovering and valuing the contribution of women in the different processes that have marked the construction of our society, recognizing their footprints on the road to the Bicentennial.
The activity is part of an agenda that the Undersecretariat of Education and Culture has been developing during the month of March with the objective of generating spaces for reflection, recognition, and training, highlighting the fundamental role of women in the social, cultural, and educational life of the community.
In this regard, the Undersecretary of Education and Culture, Prof. Carlos Gatto, pointed out that these types of meetings allow for reviewing history from a broader perspective. “It is important to generate spaces that invite us to reflect on the contributions of women in the construction of our identity as a society. Many of those footprints have been fundamental and deserve to be made visible,” he expressed.
The activity is free and open to the entire community. The Undersecretariat of Education and Culture especially invites teachers, students, and residents interested in learning about and reflecting on the role of women in the historical processes that have marked the development of our region and the country.
