With the aim of contributing to keeping the flame of the Concordia Carnival alive, and continuing the #LaPasiónSigueIntacta cycle, the Carnival Entity is launching a series of virtual training sessions with renowned speakers where one can learn about carnival costumes, percussion, instrument tuning, dance and choreography, and much more. The training sessions will be held through virtual platforms and are open to the general public with prior registration.
“The pandemic led us to adapt and reinvent ourselves, which is why we had to carry out many of our proposals through virtual channels and social media,” noted Matias Soto, coordinator of Popular Festivals. “Taking advantage of the potential of virtual platforms, we decided to launch this new cycle of training sessions to provide all carnival participants and the passionate carnival public with knowledge about costumes, percussion, dance, and some other topics, which will surely help this cultural event, so important for Concordia, to continue growing.”
The training sessions will consist of three theoretical and practical classes where participants will be able to interact with the speakers, ask questions, and participate in very enriching moments for their training in both costumes and percussion and other topics that foster the cultural development of the most passionate festival in the country.
The training cycle will begin next Thursday, August 5, and will be held entirely virtually through the Google Meet platform. At the end of the three meetings, certificates of attendance will be issued, endorsed and signed by the speakers.
The first training session will be “Carnival costumes and the art of reinventing oneself: recycling,” taught by the renowned designer Alejandro Yuste, and different aspects of carnival costumes and the art of reinventing oneself aimed at recycling costumes to obtain surprising new outfits will be worked on.
The classes will be on August 5, 12, and 19, and registration must be done online through the following link: http://ya.co.ve/ carnavalvestuario1
On the other hand, those passionate about rhythm will be able to train in percussion, tuning, handling equality, and leadership with Mestre Moleza starting September 27.
Registrations are also free and must be done online at the following link: http://ya.co.ve/ carnavalMestreMoleza1
Daily on the official social media of the Concordia Carnival, one will be able to follow the carnival training cycle, and new training sessions and registration methods will be announced. In addition, raffles and many more surprises will be held to keep the passion of the Concordia Carnival intact.
