The Municipality of Concordia and the National Ministry of Human Capital continue working on the consolidation of social policies in the city through the “Family Centers” Program. This second stage includes 12 new participating spaces so that young beneficiaries can access clubs, and artistic and cultural workshops in local institutions.
Mayor Francisco Azcué remarked that “families are the core of development and it is important to strengthen them to achieve the restoration of family ties. This means that as a State we must generate the tools for them to achieve this, but the community must also improve, strive, and train, which is one of the stages of this program, while their children attend different cultural, academic, or sports institutions to carry out activities”.
In that regard, he announced that the goal is to reach more families once this second stage ends, also adding more participating centers: “We have an excellent relationship with Minister Sandra Pettovello and the entire Human Capital team, and we are working on the perspective of expanding the program and benefiting more children and families”.
A PUBLIC POLICY IN EVOLUTION
“Today we are closing a new stage of a public policy that is evolving through Human Capital, taking on a role as facilitators so that this process has good results in Concordia and the country, since it is in our city where it began to be implemented for the first time,” stated the Secretary of Human Development Sebastián Arístide.
Through the “Family Centers” Program, the aim is to “reach family nuclei that are currently not being reached by actions that allow them to have a presence in the community. It was put on the table and is being addressed with different strategies,” maintained Arístide.
“THE EXPERIENCE IN CONCORDIA IS VERY GOOD”
For his part, the Director of Territorial Planning of the Ministry of Human Capital Francisco Palacin pointed out his satisfaction with what has been achieved so far, stressing that “the experience in Concordia is very good, which is why we want to continue advancing, with small steps, to reach more and more of the population”.
“Here, the focus was placed on the family with a new public policy paradigm, which is to stop doing it as it was done before and for each child or family, through what they choose, to attend and belong to the institution they want and be part of the extracurricular activities,” he indicated.
PARTICIPATING CENTERS
For this new stage of the “Family Centers” Program, the following institutions were added: Asociación Civil Club Deportivo Real Concordia; Club Unión de Concordia; Asociación Civil Educando a Cielo Abierto; Pirañas Rugby Club; Club Atlético, Social y Deportivo San Lorenzo; Instituto Danza Pasión; Estudio de Danzas Cynthia Patiño; Instituto Almas Danzantes; Asociación Civil Por el Silencio; Club Atlético Monseñor Rösch and the Club Atlético Colegiales.
