The Municipality of Concordia, through the Directorate of Childhood, Adolescence and Family, belonging to the Secretariat of Human Development, carried out the relocation and commissioning of the “Manitos Pintadas” Child Development Center in the El Silencio neighborhood.
The new location aims to optimize municipal resources and consolidate public policies aimed at early childhood, in addition to guaranteeing comprehensive care for children from 45 days to 3 years old.
The center will continue to offer a safe space for care, nutrition, stimulation, and support, also promoting joint work with neighborhood institutions and different municipal areas to strengthen the promotion and comprehensive protection of rights.
Mayor Francisco Azcué remarked that the administration is carrying out public policies that “seek to transform our city so that neighborhoods have a voice, have visibility; so that our people can grow, develop, and children have a space where they can be educated” because “we are talking about the future of Concordia, which is why the commitment, beyond the responsibilities that each of us has, is to work together to provide them with support, education, and opportunities”.
In that sense, he maintained that this is possible “thanks to a responsible administration and management capacity that allocates resources to the sectors that need them most. We know that the context is not the best and that sometimes hard decisions have to be made, but it is also hard to see a child without a space for support or where they can begin to develop. That is why we chose to invest to recover these places and put them back at the service of families”, affirmed Azcué.
For his part, the Secretary of Human Development Carlos Gatto highlighted that the recovery of the “Manitos Pintadas” CDI is the result of “a territorial analysis carried out by the technical team, which allowed for the identification of a growth in the child population and a greater demand for spaces for care, support, and early stimulation in the neighborhood. It was a goal we had set for ourselves, today it was achieved and families will enjoy it together with their children”.
DELIVERY OF DIDACTIC MATERIALS
Within the framework of this action, furthermore, didactic materials and elements were delivered to all Child Development Centers, with the aim of strengthening pedagogical proposals and guaranteeing better tools for the comprehensive development of childhood.
The CDIs that received the materials were: “Arandanitos”, “Azahares”, “EPI”, “Hormiguita Viajera”, “Ivotí Porá”, “Miguitas de Amor”, “Naranjitas”, “Nidito de Sueños”, “Payasito”, “Rayito de Sol”, “Rincón de Luz”, “Semillitas de Amor” and “Trencito de Colores”.
The Municipality of Concordia reaffirms its commitment to strengthening public policies aimed at early childhood, prioritizing proximity, equal opportunities, and access to quality services for the city's families.
