With its own resources and personnel, the Municipality of Concordia, through the Secretariat of Public Works, is carrying out pothole repair work on Rucci Avenue, near the Las Tejas neighborhood and within the framework of the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial.
Said thoroughfare has significant traffic flow because, in addition to being the main road access connecting the urban area of Concordia with the Benito Legerén neighborhood, it is part of the industrial corridor in the southern part of the city.
Mayor Francisco Azcué, together with the Secretary of Public Works Fernando Esquibel, toured the works being executed on the section that runs from Unión Avenue to San Miguel Street.
“The work being carried out is performed by personnel and resources of the Municipality, with very high-quality asphalt, produced by our own plant and which meets the tests performed in the laboratory so that the repair lasts,” highlighted Azcué.
The latter is fundamental since there is constant traffic on Rucci Avenue as it is the access to Benito Legerén as well as to the Las Tejas neighborhood itself. “Today we are providing responses to the demands of the local residents as well as with other works being carried out inside the neighborhood,” affirmed Azcué.
In that sense, the mayor recalled that they will also soon be arriving with paving works in Villa Adela, on Ecuador streets, between Virgen del Carmen and Unión Avenue; Unión Avenue, between Ecuador and Idelfonso del Cuadrado and Idelfonso del Cuadrado street, between Unión Avenue and San Cayetano.
For his part, Esquibel stated that “in this area, we know that traffic is significant because, in addition to the residents who use it for daily matters, the avenue is part of the industrial corridor of the southern zone, with heavy vehicles, which is why it is fundamental that the repairs are carried out under these requirements.”
