Through the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial, the Municipality of Concordia has begun the installation of urban shelters in different parts of the city.
The new shelters were built entirely of sheets of different thicknesses (flat, folded, and perforated) and structural pipes. Each shelter has lighting from two LED panels, powered by a solar panel that will be located on the roof, under anti-vandal protection.
They also feature information via QR, where the passenger will obtain data on their location and bus line routes.
The Undersecretariat of Public Works stated that this responds to an important demand from urban passenger transport users: “a modern, comfortable, and safe design was conceived for the residents, whom we ask to take care of these spaces when using them. These shelters are essential for workers, students, and senior citizens who wait for public transport every day.”
It was also indicated that the shelters that are removed for replacement will be refurbished to be placed in other sectors of the city.
