Organized by the Municipality of Concordia, through the Undersecretariat of Education and Culture, in coordination with the Departmental Directorate of Schools, the Pedagogical Conference “Concordia meets to think about education” was held, which counted on the participation of more than a thousand teachers from our city and the region.
During the conference, which featured the participation of Dr. Hernán Aldana, a specialist in neurosciences applied to education, topics such as learning, attention, memory, motivation, and various pedagogical strategies aimed at strengthening more effective and meaningful teaching practices were addressed.
The mayor Francisco Azcué highlighted the creation of spaces where work is done with tools or topics related to learning and training, remarking that “this is possible thanks to joint action between institutions, the private sector, and the State, based on the commitment assumed by each one from the position that corresponds to us”.
“Education is a fundamental pillar for the growth and development of our community, which is why, from our administration, we have been working with different actions because we consider that, as in this case, the training of those who teach constitutes one of the best investments that a community can make,” highlighted Azcué.
The Secretary of Human Development Carlos Gatto maintained that holding these types of conferences “allows teachers to have more and better tools to take to the classrooms and share a training space with one of the country's main references in the field of neuroeducation”.
Dr. Hernán Aldana holds a Bachelor's and a Doctorate in Biology from the University of Buenos Aires, is a specialist in neurosciences, and is a researcher with extensive scientific production and a distinguished academic career. He served as Dean of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences and Health Sciences at the University of Belgrano for ten years.
He currently works as a university professor in different degree programs linked to health sciences and, for more than fifteen years, has dedicated a fundamental part of his work to the training of teachers at all levels, bringing the contributions of neurosciences to the daily challenge of teaching.
The conference was supported by the company NEXON and the “Jesús te Ama” Church.
