Following the meeting held with the vendors who participate each year in the traditional San Cayetano Festival, at the request of Mayor Francisco Azcué, the Executive Department will submit a draft ordinance to the Deliberative Council to create a special municipal tax regime for those who are part of this religious celebration.
The initiative arises from the dialogue with the vendors themselves and seeks to reduce costs and recognize the particular characteristics of this event, differentiating it from other temporary commercial activities that take place in the city.
With that objective, the project incorporates a new category called "Vendors at Religious Festivities," establishing differentiated values according to the category and the surface area occupied by each stall.
The Municipality pointed out that the proposal aims to make the participation of vendors more accessible within a clear regulatory framework and a proper organization of one of the most popular religious celebrations in Concordia, which gathers thousands of residents and visitors each year.
Likewise, it was reported that, once the project is approved by the Deliberative Council, registration to participate in the fair will take place between July 27 and August 2 and will be exclusively through the Citizen Portal of the Municipality of Concordia (https://ciudadano.concordia.gob.ar/)
If the ordinance is approved, the daily rates for the San Cayetano Festival will be as follows:
● Handicrafts (gazebo or structure up to 3 x 3 meters): $25,000
● Artistic makeup, hairstyles, and similar services: $25,000
● Gastronomy, clothing, and general product sales: $40,000
● Food Trucks: $75,000
● Children's games and services (up to 3 x 3 meters): $25,000
● Children's games and services with larger surface area (up to 25 m²): $100,000
