The Municipality of Concordia continues working in different neighborhoods of the city, addressing the demands presented following the severe storm on Saturday morning. By order of the mayor Francisco Azcué, all municipal areas are dedicated to this emergency, without neglecting the provision of services in the rest of the city.
The priorities continue to be the assistance of affected families, cleaning of public spaces, and the restoration of services in the most critical locations such as Villa Zorraquín, Osvaldo Magnasco, Pampa Soler, and La Arrocera.
The Secretariat of Public Services, in a coordinated effort between different areas, continues with the tasks of removing trees and branches so that the streets are cleared and traffic flow is normalized.
Likewise, the Electrotechnics Directorate is carrying out tasks of removal and replacement of poles, in a joint effort with companies in the city, so that the electricity supply is restored.
In addition, the traffic lights were put back into operation, with those in Villa Zorraquín remaining pending due to the fact that there are sectors that are still without electricity.
ASSISTANCE
Regarding assistance to affected families, up until Sunday night and through the Undersecretariat of Social Development, a total of 205 requests for assistance were registered, responding first to the most vulnerable or complex cases.
The field work is in charge of the assistance teams and territorial agents, who are conducting surveys in the neighborhoods.
The number enabled by the Municipality to request assistance is via WhatsApp messages at 345 413-2744. Inquiries can also be made in person at the offices located at Sáenz Peña and La Rioja.
SURVEY OF AFFECTED PERSONS
One of the measures being worked on in addition to the comprehensive operation is the survey of damages caused to establishments in the commercial and productive sector, which have been severely affected by the storm.
In that sense, the mayor Francisco Azcué is evaluating support mechanisms linked to possible tax exemptions or relief.
OPEN HEALTH CENTERS
The Secretariat of Health indicated that the Primary Care Centers are fully open, although in the case of the one in Osvaldo Magnasco, it is without electricity, but care is guaranteed.
The request and recommendation for the entire community continues to be not to circulate through the intervened areas and to respect the preventive signage, since in those sectors there is still intense movement of heavy machinery, vehicles, and municipal personnel.
