In the framework of the commemoration of Kindergarten and Kindergarten Teacher's Day, which in Argentina is held every May 28th in honor of the educator Rosario Vera Peñaloza, the Undersecretariat of Education and Culture of the Municipality of Concordia carried out a proposal aimed at the early childhood education community.
The activity featured the presentation of the children's play “La Valija en Canciones”, an artistic proposal designed to promote gathering, expression, and enjoyment through music, play, and the active participation of children.
The Secretary of Human Development, Carlos Gatto, highlighted the importance of the day shared with the children, teachers, and residents. “From the Municipality, we accompany the children on their day and value the work that teachers carry out daily at this very important stage in the formation of our children”.
For her part, the director of School No. 71 “Independencia”, Clarisa Toledo, pointed out that “it is a very important occasion since kindergarten is the first step to primary school. Here we have six early childhood education classrooms, consisting of 4 and 5-year-old groups. What we like is to receive visits from neighboring communities that were able to come and be part of these celebrations. I greet the kindergarten teachers on their day and, of course, the children”.
Verónica, a kindergarten teacher at the same establishment, maintained that “we shared a lovely day”, recalling that “every May 28th this day is celebrated in our country in honor of Rosario Vera Peñaloza, who was one of the first early childhood teachers in our country. We are grateful to be able to enjoy our day”, she concluded.
The following early childhood educational institutions participated in the celebration: JMI Miguitas de Amor (CDI); JMI Semillitas (CDI); JMI Payasito Pelusitas (CDI).; UENI No. 68 (Early Childhood Educational Unit); Early Childhood Level School No. 3 “Domingo Faustino Sarmiento”; Early Childhood Level School No. 76 “Teresa de Calcuta”; Early Childhood Level School No. 70 “Eva Duarte”; Early Childhood Level School No. 71 “Independencia”.
The proposal was developed with great participation and enthusiasm on the part of the children and teachers, consolidating itself as a significant space for meeting, celebration, and strengthening of early childhood education in the city.
These types of initiatives reinforce the commitment of the Undersecretariat of Education and Culture to supporting educational institutions and generating cultural experiences that favor the integral development of childhood.
