Within the framework of the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial, the Municipality of Concordia is firmly advancing with road works financed with its own resources, which are being executed in different neighborhoods of the city.
The second stage reaches different streets in the northeast area, such as San Juan Street, where tasks began in the section between M. Arruabarrena and Etchevehere; curb and gutter work also began for the subsequent paving on Belgrano Street, between San Lorenzo Avenue and Salto Uruguayo, while in the 6 de Caballería Street sector, between San Lorenzo Avenue and Chabrillón, soil consolidation work began this morning to later pave.
The mayor Francisco Azcué toured the intervened sectors, where he stated that “we set out to solve structural problems as appropriate, which is why residents can see that before each paving project begins, hydraulic and basic sanitation works are carried out first. Once this is done, the soil preparation is performed to, finally, pave”.
“Today these consolidation works begin on 6 de Caballería as it was on San Juan street days ago and also on Belgrano street where curb and gutter work is being done, resolving water issues, to then arrive with the pavement and all thanks to the responsible management of resources” pointed out Azcué.
For his part, the Secretary of Public Works Fernando Esquibel valued the pace of execution and the technical quality of the works, remarking that “this is an effort of the entire municipality and the entire city of Concordia. The works are born from the contribution that taxpayers make through the TGI. We have to realize that it is beneficial for everyone to be able to contribute so that more residents live better, which is what we all want.”
“These interventions in the northeast zone will allow strengthening the road connection in a north-south direction and provide continuity to the circulation towards the north of the city” concluded Esquibel.
The second stage of the Infrastructure and Development Plan includes: 6 de Caballería, between San Lorenzo and Chabrillón (in execution); San Juan Street between M.
