This Sunday, a new edition of the Paseo del Río Fair was held at the Costanera in Concordia, in the Playa Los Sauces area, which on this occasion featured a special edition in commemoration of International Women's Day. The event saw a large turnout of the public, who came throughout the afternoon and evening to enjoy the fair and support local entrepreneurs, artisans, and producers.
Residents and tourists visited the various stands, where they were able to discover and purchase products made by entrepreneurs from the city, consolidating this space as a meeting point that promotes local work and the social economy.
Within the framework of this special edition, a gift was also presented to the women entrepreneurs who are part of the fair, in recognition of their commitment and dedication. The presentation was led by the coordinator of the Paseo del Río Fair, Andrea Popelka.
In this regard, Popelka highlighted the great response from the public and the work of the entrepreneurs: “We are very happy with the turnout for this special edition. Many people came to visit the fair, to support our entrepreneurs, and to enjoy a different afternoon at the Costanera. For us, it is very important to continue creating these spaces where the work of those who produce and undertake in our city is made visible,” she expressed.
Likewise, she added: “On this occasion, we wanted to especially recognize the women entrepreneurs who are part of the fair. There are many who work with effort and dedication every day, and we believe that these types of gestures also help to value their commitment and their contribution.”
The day also featured artistic performances that accompanied the cultural proposal of the fair. The public was able to enjoy the live show by Ani Viera, with animation by Mario Cáceres, and the performances of the Ballet Luna Cautiva, directed by teacher Melanie Areguati, and the Ballet Peña La Juntada, led by teachers Anabella Monzón and Alexis Areguati, who brought music, dance, and tradition to the evening.
In this way, the Paseo del Río Fair once again consolidated itself as a meeting space for Concordia families, promoting culture, entrepreneurship, and support for local producers.
