The project, which had a budget exceeding 700 million pesos, was carried out with municipal resources. “We had two very tough years, but from now on things are moving at a different speed. In 2026, we will have the most important and largest infrastructure budget in the history of Concordia,” said the Mayor.
This morning, Mayor Francisco Azcué, together with residents and officials, inaugurated the repaving of Paula Albarracín de Sarmiento street. A project executed one hundred percent with municipal resources and which is part of the infrastructure plan being carried out by the Municipality of Concordia.
Addressing those present, Azcué first remarked that “we had to begin our administration with a brutal drop in tax collection, high inflation, and enormous debt. We paid the debts, achieved stability, reduced municipal taxes and public spending, and today we are here, investing in infrastructure, which is what the residents ask of us.”
In that sense, the Mayor recalled that this inaugurated project is part of an infrastructure plan that includes a final investment of 1.5 billion pesos, which includes the repaving of Juventud Unida de Benito Legerén and Dr. Sauré streets: “All financed with one hundred percent municipal resources.”
Azcué, addressing the local residents but also the entire community of Concordia, maintained that “this project was done with the resources of all of you. It is the product of your effort, which is why I ask you to continue fulfilling your obligations. I thank you for your patience because we know that we had two very tough years, but from now on things are moving at a different speed.”
“For the year 2026, we have budgeted the most important and largest infrastructure plan in the history of Concordia, where more than double the amount compared to 2025 will be allocated, prioritizing pavement, sanitation, and public spaces,” concluded the Mayor.
On Paula Albarracín street, 16,000 m2 were intervened; pothole delimitation was carried out; milling of the asphalt layer, with soil preparation and the complete reconstruction of gutters to facilitate surface water runoff.
