Within the framework of the Biodetectives Program, a “Butterfly Species Sighting and Recognition” day will be held, an initiative open to the community to enjoy nature and learn about local biodiversity. It is organized by the “Nelson Oscar Vassallo” Museum of Anthropology and Natural Sciences and the Concordia Mixed Tourism Board (EMCONTUR).
The activity will take place next Friday, May 1st at 10:00 AM, with the meeting point at the entrance of the Castillo San Carlos. The training will be led by Prof. Gabriel Bonomi, a member of CEYDAS, who will guide participants in recognizing the different butterfly species present in the environment.
During the day, attendees will be able to observe the colorful world of butterflies up close, learn about their characteristics and habits, and record the experience.
It is recommended to bring a camera or cell phone to take photographs, a notebook for notes, and, optionally, a magnifying glass.
The activity is open, requires no prior registration, is free of charge, and is aimed at groups of friends or family.
