The training workshops for the members of the 2020 Pequeños Duendes Carnival are already underway. In recent weeks, training activities began for the directors of the children's carnival groups and percussion directors, who will then pass on what they have learned to the children, who are the protagonists of this unique popular festival. Registration is open until August 31 for all neighborhood carnival groups that wish to be part of the next children's carnival festival.
"Year after year, the Pequeños Duendes Carnival continues to grow, and something we already began doing in previous editions, this time by decision of mayor Enrique Cresto, everything related to training has been reinforced, because it is the nursery of the Concordia Carnival, and the goal is for the children, in addition to having fun and finding a space for participation and support, to also learn and train as artists," commented Sonia Albornos, coordinator of Pequeños Duendes, regarding this.
Thus, different workshops on costume and float design, rhythm and music, dance, and carnival history, among other topics, are being held. "We already have 18 carnival groups registered, but registration is still open until August 31. Everyone who wants to be part of the 2020 edition should go to the offices of the Coordination of Neighborhood Workshops and Cultural Events at the former North Station, San Lorenzo and Gobernador Cresto, where they will be informed in detail about the procedure. All those who have any questions or are interested, please come by, and we will advise you so that you can be part of this festival," Albornos pointed out.
