With the objective of comprehensively addressing the prevention of problematic substance use, a workshop was held this Thursday, organized by the Municipality of Concordia, through the Secretariat of Human Development and the Secretariat of Health.
On this occasion, the training schedule for this year was announced, and the central presentation of the “Re-Ensamblar lo Social” program was held, promoted together with the Crear Vale la Pena Foundation and the Observatorio Social Argentino Civil Association.
The call was attended by management teams and teachers (5th and 6th grade of Primary Level and 1st to 6th year of Secondary Level), representatives of social organizations, and members of civil society interested in joining this care network.
The Secretary of Human Development, Sebastián Arístide, pointed out that “we aim to address the issue of mental health from a different angle, showing a novel proposal on a topic that people may not find easy to talk about. We set out to bring in people who have experience to teach us and help us understand where we stand and how to address the issue” of problematic substance use.
For his part, Dr. Roberto Canay, from the Observatorio Social Civil Association, highlighted the work involving Health, Education, and Human Development, among other areas, “since it is vital to have a strategic perspective and for this to allow the Municipality to gather everything that exists, in order to provide the best possible response to a complex problem that in itself does not have a simple or unique answer”.
Patricia Taboada, Director of Institutional Development of the Crear Vale la Pena Foundation, recalled what was done last year, where a diagnosis was made, “and today we come to bring the work agenda. If we want to work on prevention, we must focus on the tools of art, which is what we know how to do: art for social transformation, which has to do with generating a diverse and different cultural infrastructure”.
Finally, Taboada explained that one of the central axes is “hablar sana” (healthy speaking). That is precisely the title that the action we are going to develop throughout the year in the city will have, because it is the result of the diagnosis, where young people told us 'we need to be heard'.
During the opening ceremony, the presence of the Secretary of Health Diego Sauré, the Undersecretary of Sports Ivana Pérez, the Undersecretary of Human Development Roberto Niez, and Pablo Cymbalista, Director of Prevention and Control of Addictions of the Government of Entre Ríos, was noted.
The meeting represented the consolidation of a process initiated in 2025 that has already reached more than 4,600 young people from 32 local schools. It involves carrying out approaches that seek to integrate technical data, teacher training, and neighborhood proximity to strengthen the support for youth in the city of Concordia.
