Governor Rogelio Frigerio held a working meeting this Thursday with the mayor of Concordia, Francisco Azcué, where they made progress in monitoring public works and policies between the province and the municipality.
The meeting, which was also attended by the Minister of Government and Labor, Manuel Troncoso, is part of the periodic work scheme that the provincial leader maintains with the mayors to monitor the progress of ongoing projects and coordinate new joint actions.
"On this occasion, we discussed various topics. Some have to do with public works, such as those carried out with Cafesg (Administrative Commission for the Special Fund of Salto Grande) in schools and hospitals. Also about the implementation of Human Development programs and health policies, which involve provincial and municipal areas," commented Azcué.
The mayor added that policies related to tourism and the new services at the Comodoro Juan José Pierrestegui airport were also addressed. "All of them require very fine-tuning to be more efficient," he expressed.
Azcué highlighted the joint working modality with the governor and valued his permanent presence in the territory. "He always emphasized this idea of working together and that requires us to meet every so often. That is why you see me here every 15 days or, at most, once a month. The governor also travels a lot throughout the province and visits us quite often in Concordia. We take advantage of those moments to work in the territory," he pointed out.
In that sense, he remarked that each meeting strengthens the administration and has a direct impact on the community. "I learn a lot every time I work with him. It is efficiency, it is being fast and attentive when it comes to resolving issues, because behind those issues are the people. He sets the pace and for the mayors it is very good to have a governor with that capacity. He demands that we keep up," he concluded, and described the meeting as "very positive," highlighting that they share "a way of working and managing that prioritizes concrete responses for the residents".
