Governor Rogelio Frigerio visited the Egger company plant in Concordia this Thursday, where he participated in the inauguration of a new molding line. "Everything that generates investment, employment, and wealth in the private sector is part of our government's north star," he stated.
During the tour of the facilities and the inaugural ceremony, the governor was accompanied by the president and director of Administration and Finance of Egger Argentina, Agustín Fitte; the mayor of Concordia, Francisco Azcué; and the Minister of Economic Development, Guillermo Bernaudo.
"It is a very important day for the province, for Concordia, and for the company, because Egger is one of the most relevant companies in the world in the production of moldings, and today it inaugurates the launch of an investment of more than 20 million dollars that positions it among the most competitive companies in the world in this field," highlighted Frigerio after the ceremony.
"Everything that generates investment, employment, and wealth in the private sector is part of our government's north star," he reiterated, adding: "That is why we are here, accompanying and supporting in a very difficult context, probably one of the most complex we have had to live through in terms of resources for the State, especially for the provinces and municipalities."
In that sense, the governor reaffirmed his commitment to the development of the private sector. "We continue moving forward, betting on what we believe in: generating conditions for the private sector to grow. Something that for a long time was not done in the province. Proof of this is that, even in this very complicated context, it did not even occur to us to increase the tax burden, as was usually done. On the contrary, we are lowering taxes with an enormous effort," he maintained.
For his part, Agustín Fitte highlighted: "This visit is very important for us, to continue building together." He confirmed that the investment was entirely financed with Egger Argentina's own resources, without assistance from the parent company, and highlighted that this will allow for increasing production capacity by 40 percent, improving working conditions, and expanding the commercial circuit. Currently, 98 percent of the molding production is exported to the United States and Canada.
In his turn, Mayor Francisco Azcué pointed out that the presence of the provincial government responds to Governor Frigerio's premise of "accompanying the engine of development, which are our entrepreneurs, and generating conditions for the private sector to grow and produce genuine employment." In that framework, he recalled that the municipality is working on the 147-hectare expansion of the Concordia Industrial Park, with the goal of making it the largest in the province and one of the main ones in the country.
