The governor held a working meeting with the mayor Francisco Azcué and reaffirmed the support for processes of rationalization of expenditure, strengthening of investment in infrastructure and long-term planning.
The governor of Entre Ríos, Rogelio Frigerio, held a working meeting this Tuesday with the mayor of Concordia, Francisco Azcué, in which the main axes of the process of reorganization of the municipal State, the rationalization of public expenditure and the planning of investments in infrastructure with a long-term perspective were analyzed.
During the meeting, held at the Government House, Mayor Azcué presented the process of optimization of the municipal State that is underway, aimed at balancing public accounts and strengthening the municipality's investment capacity.
“We are carrying out the most important infrastructure plan in the history of Concordia with our own funds, thanks to a more efficient administration of expenditure. In 2026, we will allocate 20% of the budget to investment in public works. Our goal is to advance progressively until reaching 35%, a standard similar to that applied by the most developed cities in the country and the region,” the mayor pointed out.
Azcué remarked that this paradigm shift is essential to transform the reality of numerous neighborhoods in the city and improve the quality of life of the residents, based on greater investment in infrastructure and essential services.
In the meeting, progress was also made in the analysis of the strategic works and projects that the municipality is promoting within the framework of the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial, as well as in different initiatives that will be developed in a coordinated manner between the province and the municipality.
In that context, Governor Rogelio Frigerio ratified his support for the processes of reorganization of the State, rationalization of expenditure and balance of public accounts as essential conditions for development.
“There is no possible growth without an orderly State, without efficient structures and without balanced public accounts. Shrinking what does not work and managing with responsibility is what allows freeing up resources to invest in infrastructure, improve services and plan with a vision for the future,” the governor affirmed, while highlighting that this is a path taken since the beginning of the administration.
Likewise, Frigerio remarked that this process is part of a conception of the State that values the workers who are part of it and seeks to strengthen its functioning with clear rules, predictability and responsibility in the use of public resources.
The meeting ratified the common work agenda between the province and the municipality of Concordia, focused on the reorganization of the State, investment in infrastructure and long-term strategic planning for the development of the city.
