The 5th International Youth Social Hockey Meeting 2025 was held with total success this past weekend in Concordia, consolidating itself once again as a true sporting and social celebration. The event brought together more than 250 athletes and families from different delegations from Argentina and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, who enjoyed the competition at the Municipal Sports Center over three intense days.
The city once again became an international venue for youth sports for the second time, thanks to the organization of the Municipality of Concordia, through the Secretariat of Human Development, in conjunction with the Argentine Social Hockey Federation. This joint effort involved numerous municipal areas and city institutions.
Activities began on Friday with the reception of the delegations and the start of the first day of the tournament, while on Saturday night the inaugural ceremony was held, attended by the Secretary of Human Development Sebastián Arístide; the Secretary of Government Luciano Dell´Olio; the President of the Argentine Social Hockey Federation, Ricardo Serial, and the Sports Director, Diego Salvetti; the President of the Provincial Sports Council, Dr. Leticia Zapata, and the Legal Advisor of the Entre Ríos Club Federation, Dr. Mario Redondo.
Arístide stated, “it is a privilege to host the Argentine Social Hockey Federation for choosing us for an international event that not only promotes sports practice but also brings various benefits to the city, since during these days, each delegation not only competed but also enjoyed Concordia,” in addition to being an opportunity for local players “to integrate, exchange concepts, experiences, and travel to other places.”
