On September 3rd and 4th, Concordia will host the 12th International Meeting of Pasistas, Baterías, and Batucadas, a traditional event held in our city since 2009, organized by the radio program “Conectados En CarnavaL” in conjunction with local Comparsas and with the support of the municipality. The arrival of international figures and a great show by the baterías, pasistas, and harmonies are expected.
According to the organizers, Claudio “Lolo” Alani and Alejandro Martínez, Gaby Carvalho, Pasista from Salgueiro (Rio de Janeiro), and Mestre Sapuca from Rio Grande do Sul will be in our city; in addition to being competition judges, they will give Samba and percussion classes respectively. There is also an invitation for the best pasistas from Mercosur and prominent rhythmists to attend.
There are already more than a dozen Queens, Baterías, and Batucadas confirmed from our province, and from others in different parts of Argentina, as well as from the Oriental Republic of Uruguay. As a novelty, dancers who do not come with their Baterías will be able to participate to the rhythm of the local ones.
Everything is ready to experience a new Carnival celebration, and this year the chosen location is the Green Zone of our Costanera, on the internal street in front of the beach volleyball courts.
The organization thanks the various media outlets that collaborate in the dissemination, the Municipality of Concordia through its Mayor Alfredo Francolini, Codesal, the Carnaval de Pequeños Duendes, Ráfaga, Emperatriz, Imperio, Bella Samba, among other friends who support this great event that was declared of Municipal Interest by the Deliberative Council for the 11th consecutive time.
