The Provincial Executing Unit (UEP) and the Mixed Tourism Board of Entre Ríos (Emturer) met at the Concordia Convention Center to finalize the delivery of 30 pediatric wheelchairs to 11 municipalities in the Salto Grande region.
The chairs are intended to improve accessibility at various tourist attractions in the region, as part of actions aimed at promoting more inclusive tourism.
The acquisition of the equipment was carried out by the General Secretariat of the Governor's Office, led by Mauricio Colello, through the Provincial Executing Unit (UEP) within the framework of the Development and Integration Program of the Salto Grande Region, with financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The purchase involved the participation of the Provincial Disability Institute (Iprodi), which supported the entire acquisition process to ensure that the units adequately meet accessibility needs in tourist spaces.
The event was attended by the general coordinator of the UEP, Gustavo Cusinato; the president of Emturer, Jorge Satto; the president of the Salto Grande Development Corporation (Codesal), Eduardo Cristina; the representative of Iprodi, Cecilia Bonino; the mayor of Concordia, Francisco Azcué, and representatives from the municipalities of the region. In addition, it was attended by Senator Gloria Liliana Cozzi.
These chairs complement a first delivery of accessibility equipment carried out under the same program, which included 40 reinforced wheelchairs for adults, 27 amphibious chairs, six hydraulic pool lifts, five trekking wheelchairs, 250 meters of beach walkways, and 15 mobile wheelchair ramps, to which the 30 pediatric wheelchairs are now added.
During the same event, the signing of delivery certificates for equipment intended to strengthen public spaces in the Salto Grande Perilago was also carried out, which included grills, tables, and benches for recreational areas; water games; calisthenics equipment; playground equipment; LED lighting; and water softeners.
