The Municipality of Concordia, together with the National Ministry of Human Capital, carried out the delivery of vouchers corresponding to the Family Centers Program, aimed at children and adolescents between 6 and 17 years old who are beneficiaries of the Alimentar benefit and the Universal Child Allowance (AUH), which aims to facilitate access to cultural, educational, sports, and artistic activities in local institutions.
Mayor Francisco Azcué participated in one of the sessions, where he highlighted the importance of strengthening families from two aspects: “on one hand, that children have access to extracurricular activities and, on the other, that families participate in workshops and talks where they are provided with tools related to parenting issues, nutrition, and that the possibility of our children and young people being part of the proposals offered by the institutions is valued.”
“Each beneficiary can choose where to go, at what time, and in which activity to participate; it is a direct relationship with the affiliated centers. We are very satisfied with the results obtained so far, so we will continue working with the Ministry of Human Capital and the different institutions that have joined the program,” stated Azcué.
In this new stage, 2,500 new beneficiaries were added, reaching a total of 3,500 since the implementation of the program in Concordia, the first Municipality in the country to carry out this joint public policy, which also has a hundred affiliated centers located in different neighborhoods of the city.
