On May 6th, the Museum of Anthropology and Natural Sciences of Concordia celebrated 30 years since its creation. Three decades of unwavering commitment to the care, conservation, and protection of the cultural and natural heritage of our region.
Throughout this journey, deep bonds have been consolidated with the public and educational institutions, transforming knowledge into a shared experience.
We remember during this time the commitment and dedication carried out for 25 years by museologist Elsa Cristina Vassallo de Cettour, accompanied by family support, A.P.E.C.A.N, and a network of individuals, companies, and the Municipality of Concordia. We also keep in mind the museum's 10-year period at the former Central Railway Station, before establishing itself at the current location at 456 Rivadavia.
Through countless courses, exhibitions, conferences, workshops, among others, and inclusive programs such as "The Museum in Our Hands," work has been done so that heritage truly belongs to everyone, eliminating barriers and promoting accessibility.
