The Municipality of Concordia, through the Employment Directorate and the Institutional Decentralization Coordination, held the open talk “First Steps towards Employment”, a proposal aimed at people who are looking for work or wish to improve their opportunities for insertion into the labor market.
During the meeting, information was provided on employment opportunities, guidance for job searching, tools for insertion into the world of work, and a space for personalized queries and advice.
The activity was carried out within the framework of the “Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial” and was led by the technical team of the Employment Directorate, who addressed topics related to the preparation of a curriculum vitae, job interviews, and insertion programs promoted by the municipality.
In this regard, the mayor Francisco Azcué maintained that “these instances are part of public policies that we carry out from the administration with the objective of providing tools to our residents, in this case young people, so that they can improve their skills, train, grow, and educate themselves”.
At the same time he highlighted that “education and professional training are fundamental to strengthen the culture of work, effort, and merit, and to encourage young people to study and prepare for the future, which is why from the Municipality we promote these types of actions”.
In that sense, the Employment Director Juan Manuel Scarzello highlighted the joint work with the Decentralization Coordination to bring public policies closer to the residents: “during the day, training was provided on how to put together a curriculum vitae and how to present oneself for a job interview”, highlighting the participation and reaffirming the commitment to continue promoting free activities related to employment and training.
The meeting also served to update or upload profiles to the Municipality's database, which may be requested by the private sector when offering job vacancies.
