From the Secretariat of Public Services of the Municipality of Concordia, the community is requested to respect the schedule established for December 31 and January 1, collaborating with the proper functioning of the service and the maintenance of urban hygiene.
The Secretary of Public Services, Alejandro López, explained that the area made special provisions for the holidays and that the collection schedule was communicated in a timely manner through various media outlets and official channels. However, he noted that specific situations were recorded in which the established schedules were not respected.
“We had clearly informed that on December 24, collection would take place until noon and that the service would return to normal on Friday the 26th. Despite that, during the afternoon of the 24th, we found overflowing containers and waste left outside of scheduled hours, including the disposal of refrigerators and washing machines,” he remarked.
Given this situation, the Municipality had to allocate additional resources to address these critical points: “We had to go out to cover these events when, in reality, it was a special day for the collection workers as well, who have the right to celebrate with their families. On holidays, we have minimum staff on duty,” explained López.
Finally, the official reiterated the request for the community's support: “Cleaning the city is a shared task. We ask for awareness and cooperation by respecting collection schedules in all neighborhoods, in order to have a more orderly and well-kept Concordia,” he concluded.
SCHEDULE
December 31
Normal service during the morning shift (morning and mid-morning).
No service during the afternoon shift.
No service during the night shift.
January 1, 2026
Sanitary Duty (essential routes).
