This Tuesday, Mayor Francisco Azcué visited the Productive and Educational Expo organized by Technical School No. 2 “Independencia”, an initiative open to the entire community that allows visitors to learn about the work developed by students and teachers throughout the year.
For the annual exhibition, more than 35 schools are expected to participate, spread over two days and in double shifts, so about 3,000 students are expected to attend during the two days.
The initiative brings together 30 stands where productions and experiences corresponding to the different technical specialties and professional training paths are presented, with proposals linked to, among other areas, computer science, gastronomy, administration, clothing, and various trades.
During the visit, Mayor Azcué highlighted the “ability to share this day and work together with our teams from the Secretariat of Human Development, the General Council of Education, and the Departmental Directorate of Schools. These spaces for training and learning are favorable for young people not only to study and learn, but also to build their future and the future of the city, and to achieve this, the most powerful tool is education”.
He also pointed out that “it is gratifying to see the work, development, and growth that young people are having because they not only study but also acquire very important training that makes them prepared when they finish this stage”.
For his part, the Secretary of Human Development, Carlos Gatto, noted that “we were able to observe the creativity in each of the stands. One of the things that must always be distinguished in students is that each one has a creative facet, and the teacher must find it in order to explore even more that side that shows their development and growth”.
The director of Technical School No. 2, Patricia Peña, valued the growth of the initiative by pointing out that “it grows year after year; that is due to the commitment of the students and the teachers, and it is what motivates us to continue working. We also thank the authorities for coming to accompany us and participate in the initiative”.
The Productive and Educational Expo will continue this Wednesday, September 9, at Technical School No. 2, during the morning from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and in the afternoon, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
