Mayor Francisco Azcué inaugurated this Friday the repaving of Juventud Unida street in Benito Legerén, which was executed within the framework of the Infrastructure Plan carried out by the Municipality of Concordia, financed entirely with its own funds. The investment exceeded 160 million pesos.
Before the ribbon-cutting, Azcué stated that “it is a very important day for everyone because we have completed this work, which is the result of the effort of the residents who fulfill their obligations and make this possible. It is also the result of the work of all the Municipality's teams because this is the product of an administration that came to bring order, managing to advance in an infrastructure plan”.
In that line, Azcué maintained that 2026 comes with the “most important investment of own resources in the history of Concordia, with infrastructure works in different neighborhoods, which is why we ask you to continue supporting us on this path we are traveling with the goal of improving the quality of life of our residents”.
For his part, the Secretary of Public Works Fernando Esquibel, highlighted that “we are very satisfied with the result. This was an artery that was very deteriorated, being widely used by the residents since it is the main entrance to Benito Legerén where urban transport passes, where there is a school, with very significant traffic”.
Ricardo, a resident of the area, thanked for the completion of the work, recalling that “the mayor came one day and told us that they were going to do everything possible to repave the street and so it was done. For us, it is very important because the buses pass through here, it benefits us in many things, even on rainy days. We are very happy”.
On Juventud Unida street, between Avenida de Los Trabajadores and Avenida José Ignacio Rucci, 3200m2 of existing pavement milling, soil-cement preparation, and execution of new asphalt pavement were carried out, in addition to the reconstruction and construction of curbs and gutters.
Vice Mayor Magdalena Reta de Urquiza; Provincial Senator Gloria Cozzi; Cabinet and Treasury Coordinating Secretary Pablo Ferreyra; Government Secretary Luciano Dell´Olio; Undersecretary of Public Works Mateo Sastre; councilors and residents were present.
